COMMERCIAL
THE HIGGANUM GRANGE BUILDING
Built in 1882, this commercial building had a mansard-roof addition wrapping around the front from the 1970s, and serious structural damage from water and rot. A renovation was sought which was more sympathetic to the historic style of the building, and numerouse structural repairs were undertaken. The floors were jacked up to be level once again, and decayed structural members were replaced in the cellar and throughout the first floor.
